The biker jacket began as protective motorcycle gear, with the first modern leather version being introduced in 1928, complete with an asymmetrical zip designed to shield riders from the wind. Alaïa takes that rebellious blueprint somewhere unexpected, exchanging leather for wool denim while retaining the diagonal fastening, then sharpening the silhouette with a corset-like curved hem.
