Colgin Cellars Ix Estate Syrah 2019 – Napa Valley, Usa

To achieve the status of being one of California’s cult wineries is no easy feat; Colgin Cellars has gained such a reputation with the help of famed viticulturist David Abreu, who planted cuttings from Northern Rhône to create the ix Estate Syrah. Aged in 100% new oak from Taransaud in Cognac, this 2019 vintage has notes of violets, mandarin zest and tarragon underpinned by savoury layers of barbecue spice and tea leaves.
