Drappier Champagne Éclose Champagne 2012 - Champagne, France

The first Champagne to be aged in an egg-shaped oak cask, Drappier’s Éclose 2012 is made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes that were grown in Urville, Champagne – the terroir is defined by chalk soils covered with a layer of ash from a fire in 1836. The cuvée is distinguished by a complex bouquet that bears aromas of wild red berries, peach and citrus, as well as subtler notes of vanilla, spices and honey.
