Château de Gaudou Exception is a fantastically well-made, balanced wine, made in the original home of malbec, the Cahors region, but labelled as a simple Vin de France. Harvested from grapes grown on 40-year-old vines on a ten-hectare site, the light-bodied vino is then fermented in stainless steel tanks.
