The grade schoolers' iteration of the Air Jordan 1 Mid Gym Red Black GS was released as a variation of the Air Jordan sneakers.

The patent-leather top, outsole, and laces of the Air Jordan 1 Mid Gym Red Black GS sneakers are all black. On the midsole, close to the heel's visible Air unit, a splash of white can be seen. The black outsole of the shoe also features a divided pattern for traction and grip on varied surfaces. The black Jumpman branding at the heel and on the tongue of the black sneaker complete the look.
