Lalique Crystal Le Bain De Cristal Sculpture

Inspired by a gouache by René Magritte entitled The Cut-Glass Bath, the Le Bain de Cristal sculpture reimagines the surrealist painting through Lalique’s glass-working expertise. The original work drew from a set of poems by Paul Éluard, and this iteration transcends mediums once again with sanded crystal gleaming from a giraffe unexpectedly contained within a goblet.
