Liberty's pocket square is printed in a historic factory in macclesfield, cheshire the ancestral home of british silk production, and the site of a collaboration with Liberty that has lasted for several decades. Crafted from pure silk twill with hand-rolled edges and a signature logo in one corner, it spotlights our nouveau ianthe print, a monochromatic, tonal version of Liberty's famous art nouveau icon, ianthe. Originally created as a wallpaper design by french artist rene beauclair around 1902, it was reworked by Liberty in 1967, and has since appeared in a variety of different products, layouts and colour variations.
