For Autumn/Winter 2008, Alexander McQueen showcased The Girl Who Lived In A Tree: a collection primarily inspired by British culture and national symbols. Almost twenty years later for Spring/Summer 2027, Sean McGirr would return to London as a primary source of inspiration for his collection, this time with a lens focused on its subcultures and subversive spirit. The ‘tree of life’ embroidered motif on this shirt nods back to McQueen’s original collection, while displaying McGirr’s own eye for craftsmanship.
