Meissen’s dedication to hand-painted artwork – as can be seen in the Freedom mug – is second only to its dedication to perfecting the art of porcelain-making. It’s been championing the delicate material since its first factory opened in 1710, and still uses locally sourced white clay, native feldspar and quartz to this day to create its world-famous offerings.
