Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Freshwater (2016)

Ken Griffey, Jr. was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016. To mark the occasion, Nike brought back one of the former MLB star's most iconic sneakers by re-releasing the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Freshwater (2016).

This retro Nike Air Griffey Max 1 looked similar to the way it did when it was first released, because it was done up in an OG colorway. Its upper was mostly black and Freshwater, and there were pops of white added to the Swoosh and midsole to provide the shoe with contrast. The sneaker also included its signature strap across the front with Griffey's jersey number 24 on it.

This particular Nike x Griffey sneaker has been unveiled in so many different colorways over the years, but in our opinion, this was and still is one of the best ones since it was inspired by Griffey's first team – the Seattle Mariners. The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Freshwater (2016) was released on April 21st, 2016, and retailed for $150.
