When Sacha Lichine took over Provence’s Château d’Esclans, he wanted to revolutionise rosé – taking it from an easy drinking fallback to something just as worthy of connoisseurs’ notice as any prestige champagne or venerable red wine. Garrus is the culmination of these efforts, and we (as well as critics around the world) say he’s succeeded. Aged in French oak barrels and made from nearly 100 year old Grenache vines, its creamy finish gives way to rich, spicy notes that linger on the tip of the tongue.
