Ridge Geyserville 2023 - California, Usa

First produced in the ‘60s, the Geyserville is Ridge’s longest continual zinfandel production, making it something of an icon for the Californian winemaker. An ancient washout of the Russian River left behind stone and gravel at the site of the eventual vineyard, imparting a mineral character to the eponymous wine. This minerality combines with the bold strawberry jam, toasty oak and baking spice flavours of the palate and textured tannins, leading to a long, resonant finish.
