Royal Selangor adds to its range of film-inspired chessboards with this Star Wars iteration, a design that pitches the valiant Rebel alliance from the original trilogy against the formidable Imperial Forces. Each piece – including Luke, Leia, Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine – is crafted from 24-karat gilt pewter in the brand’s home country of Malaysia, with the characters resting atop sleek bonded porcelain plinths. The board itself reflects the futuristic aesthetic of the films, made as it is from tempered glass raised on satin-finished pewter feet.
