But then, the designer behind the brand rarely is - he has a penchant for taking designs of the past, and returning them to their former glory. At the time, polo shirts were made in polyester rather than the classic cotton pique, and Lauren rebelled, releasing his shirt in cotton under the tagline "it gets better with age". This long-sleeve polo is created from white cotton mesh, and retains the same eye to detail as the original.
