Founded in 2012, it is named for its designer, Gauri Kohli, who directs every form, material and finish.What It Is:Honed from a single piece of white marble, the arch stands on two flat legs with a rounded crown - the opening carved clean through the center, its inner curve following the same line as the outer. The form is solid and compact, heavier than its scale suggests, the matte surface giving the stone an unpolished presence.The inner curve follows the outer, so the arch holds a constant thickness all the way round and no part of it thickens to carry the crown. The opening frames a pen or a stem of dried grass.
