The Macallan Time:Space Sherry Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The distinctive circular vessel that holds The Macallan Time : Space Sherry Cask tells the story of whisky’s passage through time, with this edition marking the first to be influenced by sherry casks seasoned with The Macallan’s own Valdespino sherry. On the nose, sherry-soaked raisins, medjool dates and figs are complemented by cinder toffee, frangipane and caramelised nuts, while depth and richness come from dark chocolate truffles, cinnamon, star anise and ginger. Opulent and complex, the palate is rich with juicy dried fruits, bramble jam and chocolate-coated cherries, warmed through with cloves, cinnamon sticks and distinctive polished oak. With every sip – a surprising hint of espresso to finish. The circular shape is echoed on the front of a zingy presentation box, which opens at the centre to reveal undulating circles within – almost ceremonial in its design, it’s certainly a memorable piece for any collector.
