Grapes for this Sauvingon Blanc come from a unique piece of Terroir in the Wairau district of Marlborough. This narrow strip of land has a distinct climate and soil structure which allows the grapes to ripen slowly. Dr Andrew Hedley, the winemaker at Framingham, describes the wine as having "a complex spectrum of flavours from herbal notes through to ripe tropical fruit salad". While maintaining its Marlborough identity this Sauvignon Blanc has bags of its own personality.
