Halcyon Days Royal Albert Hall Box

If you’ve ever been to London, you’ll be well aware of the Royal Albert Hall. Opened in 1871 by a grieving Queen Victoria, its auditorium has hosted operas and orchestras for over 140 years. Its unwavering status as a British treasure has drawn the keen eye of Halcyon Days, the creator of this enamalled-copper box; despite its popularity in the 19th century, this art is practiced by only two remaining English workshops.
