Harrods Ceremonial Matcha

Our ceremonial matcha is sourced from the Shizuoka region of Japan, where organic tea leaves from the Sugimoto plantation grow in the presence of Mount Fuji. Presented in a tin featuring the bespoke illustrations of Japanese artist Hifu Miyo, the harvested tencha is ground with ceramic plates, resulting in a powder whose vibrancy translates to its fresh, creamy palate. To prepare your matcha, add half a teaspoon of powder to a bowl or large mug with 50ml heated water and whisk it into a paste. Top up with 200ml heated water or warmed milk, sweeten to taste and serve immediately. For an iced matcha, use cold water or milk and add ice.
