On the surface, the Little Monkey figurine from Lladró might just seem like an expertly crafted, boldly coloured decoration. Yet, its particular shade is not just blue, it’s not lapis, it’s actually the electric blue first mixed by French artist Yves Klein in the ‘50s, which he subsequently popularised with his performance art.
