The Nike Book 2 Sunburst is Devin Booker's second signature Nike Basketball shoe in a Phoenix Suns-inspired colorway, featuring a Court Purple mesh upper accented with Clay Orange on the gradient Swoosh, lace loops, tongue branding, and heel pull tabs, Platinum Violet inside the ankle collars, Sail on the midsole, and an icy translucent outsole with orange sunburst gradient stripes and streaking sun details underfoot, with the jersey number 1 printed on the tongue interior in the style of Phoenix Suns retro throwbacks from the franchise's classic era. Booker debuted the Sunburst PE during Phoenix's play-in run, giving the colorway visible on-court exposure before it transitioned to retail, and the Sunburst nickname references the Phoenix Suns' iconic sunburst logo and the purple-and-orange uniform identity from the franchise's 1990s era. The Book 2's performance platform features a Cushlon 3.0 midsole, forefoot Zoom Air unit that Nike relocated from the heel for improved court responsiveness, ZoomX cushioning, mesh upper construction, and a herringbone-inspired outsole, with the sleeker and lower-to-the-ground profile compared to Book 1 providing improved court feel and lateral stability for perimeter players.
