Oushak Wool Rug

The enlarged palmettes, flowering trees, and connecting vinery of Cromwell are artfully hand-woven on a clean open ground, following the tradition of migrating tribes that had little time to weave elaborate carpets designs. Our Oushak rugs use large Turkish-style knots and thick wool yarns to recreate these 15th century designs, also evident in the border of enlarged palmettes enclosed by flowering trees.
