Waterford Mastercraft US250 Eagle Sculpture

Hours after the usa’s Declaration of Independence in 1776, a first committee was appointed to design a national emblem which, in its conclusion, placed a bald eagle at the centre, holding an olive branch of peace in one talon and 13 arrows of war in the other. The bird of prey remains a powerful symbol of the nation today, representing American pride, courage and freedom. In this special creation from its Mastercraft collection, Waterford marks 250 years since the country’s independence with this sculpture, depicting the bird in crystal with precise cuts, etched insignias and a golden beak and talons.
