2021 Second-hand Market Trend Survey Reveals Hermes To Be A Top Brand This Year!

Real Real, a famous second-hand brand store, recently released its annual sales report. The second-hand market trend is indeed an investment indicator worth referring to. The report revealed that HERMES is one of the most sought after brands! But which brand took first place?

First place: GUCCI

Both GUCCI’s sales and consignment figures have increased significantly, with 62% and 61% respectively! Whilst millennials are the most important group in the resale of luxury goods, Gen X seems to be the main GUCCI brand buyer. This year, we saw loyal fans of GUCCI wear multiple single products to create an overall layered look. Therefore the brand's bold accessories have exponential potential sales growth.

Second Place: LOUIS VUITTON

Whilst purchasing power of Gen Z has increased dramatically, the Gen X of 1965-1980s is still the largest user group of second-hand devotees! The market demand for second-hand LOUIS VUITTON has not increased greatly, however the sales and consignment figures still rank second!

Third Place: CHANEL

CHANEL Flag Bag again ranks third in the second-hand market this year! Despite the brand continuing to increase prices, there are still long queues outside the store. This confirms that CHANEL handbags and accessories, whilst pricey are definitely marketable!

Fourth Place: PRADA

With the support of the off-duty star street style and stamp of approval, PRADA has successfully transformed into one of the most popular luxury fashion items of the younger generation in recent years! Its nylon texture re-edition and outdoor series should be remembered, not only for its ethical stances but its on trend styles too!

Fifth Place: DIOR

DIOR ranked among the top five in the second-hand market for the first time ever this year, proving that the iconic effect of the DIOR brand is still in the continuous process of growth and fermentation!
