Unexpected collaboration between UNIQLO and MARNI explores color and fashion.
UNIQLO's designer co-branded collections are always on the radar of fashion lovers around the world. After assembling some of the most coveted collabs, such as Jil Sander, JW Anderson and Theory, the Japanese mega-retailer is adding the Italian high fashion brand MARNI to its list of collaborators to launch the UNIQLO X MARNI joint collection.
MARNI has always been known for its bold and artistic style. Its designs are a mix of gorgeous art prints, luxurious three-dimensional cutting and ingenious quality fabrics, creating a series of avant-garde yet highly wearable fashion pieces for fans. With this collab, the Creative Director of MARNI, Francesco Risso hopes to integrate the real MARNI brand and its creative energy with UNIQLO Lifewear, so that everyone can wear these bright and comfortable clothes and have a happy summer.
The collection explores three core themes: balloons, suits, and pajamas. Francesco Risso, Marni’s creative director brings the essence of MARNI and his favorite retro style from the 70's into the collection. The signature hand-painted floral wide-fit pants, three-dimensional cutting puffy skirts, stripped T-shirt in contrasting-colours and comfy gingham suits are the must haves.
