Owned by the Vayron family since the 1840s, Château Bourgneuf’s vineyards sprawl over 22 acres of the gently rolling Pomerol plateau in northeastern Bordeaux. Around 90 percent of their grapes are Merlot vines, with the rest being mostly Cabernet Franc – a ration is reflected in this 2017 vintage from the estate, an opaque, ruby-red tipple with a smoky, creamy black fruit nose.
