The Piré family first bought the medieval chateau and its 16 hectares of vineyard in 1998, but it was the first vines were originally planted by Benedictine monks more than 800 years ago – quite a history, if you ask us. Today, the label practices biodynamic and organic techniques to craft this Eolithe Saumur Rouge expression, picking only the highest quality fruit to achieve the dark fruit, blueberry and tobacco aromas.
