About The Brand:Gauri Kohli is a design house creating sculptural objects for the home in marble, onyx, travertine, brass, acacia wood, wool and cotton. Founded in 2012, it is named for its designer, Gauri Kohli, who directs every form, material and finish.What It Is:Marbled resin and matte gold, shaped into a cocktail shaker whose body curves outward through the middle and narrows toward base and neck. Amber, dark caramel and deep brown move through the resin in broad sweeps, shifting as the light moves. The gold domed lid carries an integrated strainer and seats flush at the neck.The strainer is in the lid, so nothing else has to come out of a drawer to pour. The waist is where the hand closes, which is why the body flares there rather than running straight.
