Gauri Kohli Blinq Green Onyx Serving Board With Cloche

About The Brand:Gauri Kohli is a design house creating sculptural objects for the home in marble, onyx, travertine, brass, acacia wood, wool and cotton. Founded in 2012, it is named for its designer, Gauri Kohli, who directs every form, material and finish. What It Is:Gray-green onyx, cut into a round serving board and raised on three small stone feet, with close-set diagonal cuts working the full rim into a chiseled border. Soft green clouds across a cool gray ground. A blown glass cloche sits over it, finished with a faceted knob. The cloche is doing a job, not decorating one - cheese under glass does not dry at the edges over a long afternoon, and outdoors it keeps everything off. The three feet lift the stone clear of the table, so a cold board does not leave a ring of condensation behind it.Measurements: 13" L x 13" W x 8" HMaterial: Gray-green onyx with blown glass clocheColor: Cool gray ground with soft green clouding moving through the surface in broad, uneven areas; faint white veining throughoutNatural variation: The green clouding in the onyx shifts position and intensity from board to board - no two pieces carry the pattern in the same place across the surface
