Founded in 2012, it is named for its designer, Gauri Kohli, who directs every form, material and finish.What It Is:Cotton and wool are hooked into pile across the whole face of this pillow, ivory ground included, so the surface is one continuous nap. A navy vase, its outline drawn in rust, stands at the base; from it rise yellow flowers with rust centers on green stems, five heads spread wide enough to fill the upper half. The color blocks meet without a visible seam.The pile takes the light in one direction and holds a shadow in the other, so the vase looks darker from the left of a sofa than from the right. Brushed by a hand, the nap shifts and the flowers soften; brushed back, they sharpen.
