Palms fan out in teal and sage on slim brown trunks; smaller shrubs and two round buds sit between them; at the right a butterfly, wings spread in coral and magenta, is stitched large enough to hold its own against the trees.a landscape before it is a pattern - the plants share a horizon along the bottom seam, so the pillow sits naturally with that edge down. The loops of the ground are soft against the back; the stitched motifs are firmer, and a hand over the face finds each one.
